HFA Scale Remover (ETI-987) is based on our proprietary scale remover technology. We have developed this chemical to dissolve some of the harder deposits in the refining industry, iron (II) fluoride and iron (III) fluoride. ETI-987 is a combination of select chelants and organic acids, which decompose the iron fluoride molecule and inactivate the iron ion (Fe) so that they cannot react with other elements or ions to produce precipitates.
